Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare dining rooms and meals for residents, ensure sanitation, and help maintain compliance with nutritional standards and health regulations. You will support meal service and assist with menu planning in a healthcare setting.

The role requires reading and interpreting common recipes, maintaining clean dining areas, recording meals served, monitoring temperatures, and preserving safe food handling practices in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiar with clinical diets.
• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility an asset.
• Able to read and interpret common recipes.

OVERVIEW:

The Dietary Aide will prepare dining rooms and tables, provide meal service to residents and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas. His position will ensure full compliance with nutritional standards, internal procedures and government regulations while preparing and serving foods and beverages to all patients/residents.
