Job summary

The Plaza Rehab and Nursing Centre is seeking a Dietary Aide to support dining services for residents. You will prepare meals and beverages, serve meals, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining and kitchen areas in compliance with nutritional standards and government regulations.

Responsibilities include recording meals served, monitoring food temperatures, assisting in menu planning, and collaborating with kitchen and dietary staff.

OVERVIEW:

The Dietary Aide will prepare dining rooms and tables, provide meal service to residents and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas. His position will ensure full compliance with nutritional standards, internal procedures and government regulations while preparing and serving foods and beverages to all patients/residents.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Familiar with clinical diets
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility an asset
