Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center is hiring a Dietary Aide. The role involves assembling and checking diet trays, labeling food, delivering meals, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Training is provided; experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays prior to distribution to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver food carts to designated areas and return trucks after meals.
• Work in the dish room and wash dishes/utensils using the dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times; sweep and mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage as part of daily duties.

Dietary Aide

At our center, residents are treated to a complete spectrum of Rehab Services and Clinical/Nursing Care. We provide the comprehensive care that meets the specialized physical, clinical and emotional needs of every individual that comes through our doors.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Dietary Aide Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required

Dietary Aide Job Description:

Prepares items to be used on an assembly line. Works on an assembly line to prepare residents meals. Additional kitchen tasks.
