Job summary

The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our residents with meals and kitchen tasks. You will assist in assembling and checking diet trays, label and date foods, and deliver meals to nursing units.

The role involves dish room duties, snack preparation, and keeping the kitchen clean. Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage
