Job summary

Jupiter Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals in a compassionate, team-oriented environment. You will assemble and label meals, deliver to nursing units, and help keep the kitchen clean and organized while following established procedures.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to work as part of a dedicated dietary team; LTC experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required.
• Able to follow and understand procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food items.
• Deliver food carts and collect trucks after meals.
• Wash dishes and utensils in the dish room.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Keep the kitchen clean; sweep and mop floors.
• Carry out garbage.

Dietary Aide

At our center, residents are treated to a complete spectrum of Rehab Services and Clinical/Nursing Care. We provide the comprehensive care that meets the specialized physical, clinical and emotional needs of every individual that comes through our doors.

Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patienceand team mentality

Job Description:

Prepares items to be used on an assembly line. Works on an assembly line to prepare residents meals. Additional kitchen tasks.
