Los Altos Post-Acute, a 24-hour skilled nursing facility in Los Altos, CA, is seeking an entry-level Dietary Aide. Training provided; no prior experience required. You will assist with food prep, patient meals, and delivery while following sanitation guidelines.

Two shift options are available: AM (6am-2:30pm) or PM (12:30pm-9pm). This role supports a patient-centered dining experience and requires a team‑oriented, reliable candidate who can work rotating schedules.

• Assist Kitchen Supervisor/Cook as requested.
• Help with meal preparation per patient dietary needs.
• Assist in serving meals that are appetizing and properly plated.
• Set up meal service and manage delivery of meal trays.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas and clean surfaces.
• Sweep/mop floors and clean equipment and utensils.
• Return dishes and utensils to storage areas.
• Collect and dispose of garbage according to regulations.
• Prepare food supplies for next meal service.
• Adhere to safety regulations at all times.

Schedule: Rotating schedule of 4 days working 2 days off 12pm -8:30pm

Dietary Aide-

Position Summary:

Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc.

Must be willing to work either AM shift (6am to 2:30pm) or PM shift (12:30pm to 9pm)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
• Prep food supplies for the next meal
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
