Job summary

Gilroy Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Aide for entry-level support in our culinary services. Training will be provided; you will assist in meal preparation, serving, and ensuring sanitary standards across shifts.

Candidates should be flexible to work either the 6am–2:30pm or 12:30pm–9pm shift and contribute to a team dedicated to patient nutrition and comfort. Competitive benefits apply for full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
• Prep food supplies for the next meal
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times

Must be willing to work either AM shift (6am to 2:30pm) or PM shift (12:30pm to 9pm)
