Los Altos Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our clinical dining team. This entry-level role trains you to support meal preparation, delivery to patients, and adherence to dietary guidelines.

You will work a rotating schedule with 4 days on and 2 days off, from 12pm to 8:30pm, with AM or PM shift options. We value reliability, teamwork, and attention to sanitation in a compassionate care setting. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and tuition assistance where applicable.

• Set up meal service, maintain carts, and deliver trays.
• Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines during prep and cleanup.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitize surfaces.
• Wash and clean cooking equipment and utensils.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to storage areas.

Schedule: Rotating schedule of 4 days working 2 days off 12pm -8:30pm

Dietary Aide- This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who wants a career in culinary services. We’re willing to train, come join our team!

Position Summary:

Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc.

Must be willing to work either AM shift (6am to 2:30pm) or PM shift (12:30pm to 9pm)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
• Prep food supplies for the next meal
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
