Job summary

Camino Ridge Post Acute in Mountain View, CA, is seeking an entry-level Dietary Aide to join our culinary services team. We offer on-the-job training and a great starting point for a career in healthcare dining.

You will support meal preparation, serve patient meals, and help maintain sanitation and safety in the kitchen. Shifts are AM (5am–2pm) or PM (11:30am–8pm), and teamwork is essential in delivering appetizing, nutritious meals to our residents.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• Willing to work AM (5am–2pm) or PM (11:30am–8pm) shifts.
• Must assist with meal prep and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen Supervisor and Cook as requested
• Help with meal preparation per patient dietary needs
• Serve meals that look appetizing and palatable
• Set up meal service and deliver trays
• Maintain sanitation and food safety guidelines
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Wash utensils and equipment; return dishes
• Dispose of waste according to regulations
• Prepare food supplies for next meal
• Follow safety regulations at all times

Dietary Aide- This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who wants a career in culinary services. We’re willing to train, come join our team!

Position Summary:

Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc.

Must be willing to work either AM shift (5am to 2pm) or PM shift (11:30am to 8pm)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
• Prep food supplies for the next meal
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
