Job summary

Green Hills Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and distribution for residents. You will assemble trays, label items, deliver carts, and help maintain a clean kitchen environment.

Requirements include dietary aide experience and the ability to follow procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, positive attitude, and tactful interaction with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dietary aide or LTC setting preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly for distribution.
• Deliver food carts and collect meals for return to the dish room.
• Work in the dish room and clean dishes/utensils.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Keep the kitchen clean, swept and mopped as directed.
• Take out garbage and maintain hygiene.

NOW OFFERING DAILY PAY

Duties Include

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required)
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality
