Job summary

St. James Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is hiring a Dietary Aide to support resident meals and nutritional care in our center. You will assist in assembling and checking diet trays, label and date food, deliver and collect carts, and help in the dish room while keeping the kitchen clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred but not required.
• Must deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes/utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

At our center, residents are treated to a complete spectrum of Rehab Services and Clinical/Nursing Care. We provide the comprehensive care that meets the specialized physical, clinical and emotional needs of every individual that comes through our doors.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
