Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in assembling and checking meal trays, labeling and dating food, and delivering meals to nursing units. The role includes dishroom duties, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting snack delivery to units.

The position emphasizes teamwork, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow procedures to meet residents' dietary needs. Daily pay is highlighted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required).
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays prior to distribution to ensure residents receive meals meeting dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver food carts to designated areas and collect after meals to return to the dish room.
• Work in the dish room and wash dishes/utensils using the dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Keep the kitchen clean at all times; sweep and mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in the dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure the kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Dietary Aide Requirements/Qualifications:
