Job summary

White Acres Assisted Living in Texas is seeking a cook to prepare nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for residents in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate requirements. Duties include safe, sanitary food handling and timely service.

The role may involve supervising staff in the Director of Nutritional Services' absence, attending meetings, and upholding consumer service standards—presenting a professional image, resolving concerns, and protecting patient/resident rights.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.
