Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a part-time Diet Clerk at UM Charles Regional Center in La Plata, MD. The role involves patient menu management, data collection, and diet office support under supervision of the Patient Services Manager.

Prior diet clerk experience is preferred, but training is available. Hours are Monday–Friday with possible weekend shifts; pay is $17.50–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous diet clerk experience preferred.
• Will be willing to train if no prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect menus.
• Assist patients with menu selections per prescribed diet.
• Offer alternatives per diet, allergies, or preferences.
• Plan regular and modified menus based on diet manual.
• Prepare and distribute supplements and enteral formulas.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; follow regulatory standards.
• Document and log required information; support PI initiatives.
