Job summary

Republic Services in Baltimore, MD seeks a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems. The role supports drivers and manages on-road service to ensure equipment stays operating and safe.

Ideal candidates may have ASE certifications, a valid driver’s license, and experience with heavy-duty systems.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on light/medium/heavy-duty trucks and related systems.
• ASE certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs preventative and repair maintenance both on-site and on the road.
• Repairs/maintains chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, braking, engine, suspension, steering, HVAC, and related components.
• Performs line welding and fabrication; provides road service when needed.
• Ensures safety and efficiency in return-to-operation after repairs and completes required company training.
