Job summary

Republic Services in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and control systems, with on-site road service as needed.

The role covers engine work, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and braking systems, with opportunities for training in new technologies and career growth. A sign-on bonus up to $5,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of technician experience or grad from an automotive college/technical school within 3 months.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Repair and maintain air and hydraulic braking, suspension, drive train and steering systems.
• Perform light engine work, HVAC, and body components under supervision.
• Provide road service to return equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training programs.
