Job summary

Northern-Lights Inc. in Anchorage, AK, seeks a Technician II with 4–6 years of experience transitioning from Technician III. You will assist in diagnosis, removal, or replacement of major components with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing clutch, PTO, electric, hydraulic and brake systems; performing preventive maintenance; keeping accurate records; and mentoring less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and clean record.
• Ability to read and understand service instructions and manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance and repair.
• 3–5 years repairing heavy trucks and diesel engines.
• Understanding electrical systems and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Repair and overhaul trucks, engines and components.
• Diagnose malfunctions by listening and observing operation.
• Inspect safety devices, hoses, belts and fittings.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and time on computer.
• Assist in training less experienced technicians.
