Job summary

Rush Truck Centers currently seeks skilled technicians in Charlotte, NC for full-time roles. You will service trucks and engines, perform repairs, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with OEM equipment and technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Valid driver license with insurability.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins and/or ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, transmissions and other parts.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Examine guards and safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and test drive to verify conformance.
• Attend training classes and read factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
