Yancey Bros. Co. in Jefferson, GA seeks a Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel engines across on‑highway trucks and buses. You will perform component repair across hydraulic, electrical, and drive systems while documenting work orders accurately.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving, and the ability to work with customers and team members. A high school diploma is preferred, with welding and technical skills advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to operate various equipment safely and follow instructions.
• Proficient with basic computer applications and email communications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Repair components of engines, hydraulics, air conditioning, suspension and drive trains.
• Prepare service orders and document work orders accurately.
• Weld, braze and fabricate parts as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain quality standards.
• Work in a team environment and communicate with customers and supervisors.
