Performance Foodservice is seeking a diesel fleet technician responsible for preventative maintenance and roadcall duties on medium to heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. This role requires ensuring compliance with regulations, accurate documentation, and timely communication with teammates.

The position involves diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and maintaining refrigeration units, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty fleet equipment including tractors, trailers, and reefer units.
• Ensure roadworthiness with proper licensing and registration.
• Document all work orders and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and related components.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand and power tools.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
