Job summary

Transwest Inc is seeking a Service Writer to interface with customers, understand vehicle concerns, and recommend repairs and maintenance. The role involves upselling services and parts, presenting quotes, and keeping customers informed on progress.

Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and prior service writer experience. The position is hourly, with shifts M-F 7-11pm and Saturdays 9-6, and offers a comprehensive benefits package and Employee Car Discount Program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a service writer or advisor is required.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, drive train and suspension is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Listen to customer descriptions of problems or services needed.
• Determine service type and prepare a service order.
• Engage in upsells and promotions for additional equipment and services.
• Obtain customer authorization and signatures for repairs.
• Present the repair order to Foreman for dispatch and provide quotes.
• Communicate with customer and Foreman during repairs and ensure completion.
