Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefers. You will work with minimal supervision, ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations, and maintain detailed work orders for repairs and parts used daily.

Road call services may be required. The role focuses on diagnosing issues, repairing diesel equipment, and installing onboard computers, with a path toward

Qualifications

• 2+ years in medium-heavy truck repair incl PMs.
• Experience with AC refrigeration and electrical diagnostics.
• Proficient in documenting work orders and using EAM system.

Responsibilities

• Complete and perform preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard inspections of fleet diesel equipment.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthy status.
• Document work orders and repairs in the EAM system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and other critical parts.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
