Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Tractor Technician to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repairs on our tractors and equipment.

You will troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance processes, and ensure compliance with JB Hunt specifications. The role may involve outdoor work, varying shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime. The position requires 1–2 years of semi-tractor maintenance experience, A/C certification, and DOT/FHWA inspections knowledge.

Qualifications

• 18+ with 1–2 years of semi-tractor maintenance/repair experience or military equivalent
• A/C Certification
• DOT and FHWA inspections experience
• Must provide basic tools (toolbox purchase program may apply)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors per manufacturer and company specifications.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and complete work orders; support warranty and standard repair times.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring Tractor Technician trainees.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communications with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
