JB Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance and repair of tractors and related equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, completing fleet maintenance processes, and ensuring adherence to JB Hunt specifications.

The position may require outdoor work, night/weekend shifts, and overtime as needed. The candidate should have 1–2 years in semi-tractor maintenance, A/C certification, and experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in semi-tractor maintenance and repair or equivalent.
• A/C Certification, at least 1 year of experience in DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Basic tools required; tools provided by employee in most locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance, service and repair of tractors and equipment per JB Hunt specifications.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete fleet maintenance processes; work with parts and warranty guidelines.
• Demonstrate safe shop practices and professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Assist onboarding/mentoring of new Tractor Technician trainees when needed.
• Complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times (SRT).
