Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Allentown, PA is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You'll use Penske's tools and diagnostics to keep vehicles on the road.

This role offers an hourly rate of $24.00/hr plus $3.50/hr shift premium for 3rd shift, with training and advancement opportunities, safety focus, and access to industry‑leading maintenance technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools; good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs such as tire rotation, lubrication, electrical and cooling system work.
• Partner with manager to learn new skills via hands-on coaching and Penske training.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
