Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a Diesel Technician Trainee in Normal, IL to join a stable logistics team with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. You will be paid during training while you develop diesel mechanic skills.

No prior experience is required; full-time schedule Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; starting hourly rate $24.96 with additional bonuses including certification and quarterly incentives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year mechanical experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; proficient English communication.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles within yard, wash bay, service shop, or to rental shop.
• Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units per policy; check tires, fluids, lights, and report issues.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards; perform facility maintenance and small tasks.
• Complete Technician Training Development Program requirements (Service Island Training, Technician I/II).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
