Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with second shift hours from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, and a comprehensive mix of bonuses and tuition assistance. Earn $26.51 per hour, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus at 30 days and another $2,000 at 90 days, plus quarterly bonuses up to $500 and a certification bonus up to $700.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience with automotive gas/diesel engine repair and preventative maintenance.
• Two+ years of related training/experience preferred.
• CDL Class A license preferred; able to obtain CDL within 6 months.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools where applicable.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Performs facility maintenance duties as needed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and documents work performed.
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT and other guidelines.
• Performs other support duties to assist operations.
