Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Roseville, Michigan is seeking a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our heavy-duty fleet. The role operates on a second shift, with multiple incentives such as a sign-on bonus and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Vocational or technical certification preferred.
Basic tools required.
Experience with automotive gas or diesel engines and routine preventive maintenance.
Two years or more of related classroom or work experience preferred.
CDL Class A preferred (driving Ryder vehicles).

Responsibilities

Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable.
Identifies root causes and performs repairs as needed.
Replaces defective components as instructed.
Interacts with drivers to understand nature of the complaint.
Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
Complies with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Performs additional duties to support operations.
