Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, Maryland is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain heavy-duty vehicles during the night shift. Benefits start after 30 days and weekly pay provides financial stability.

You’ll work Monday–Friday from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am with weekends off, using state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools. Certifications add bonuses; generous retirement and tuition programs support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• 2+ years of related training/experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs.
• Provides facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and procedures.
• Performs other support duties as required to support operations.
