Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician for our Temple, TX location on the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10pm–6:30am).

You will diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, perform preventive maintenance, inspect critical systems, and maintain thorough work-order documentation. Road calls and training other staff are also part of the role.

Competitive pay $25–$27 per hour, benefits from Day 1, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide distribution network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, and brakes.
• Experience with diagnostic testing, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic components.
• Minimum 2 years of A/C refrigeration experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and identify root causes.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and replace parts as needed.
• Ensure equipment has proper licensing and registration for roadworthiness.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install and repair onboard computers.
• Train other employees and perform road call services as needed.
