Job summary

US Foods is seeking an experienced diesel mechanic for our Garland fleet, working Sunday-Thursday night shift from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on diesel equipment including tractors, trailers, and lift gates.

Position offers tool allowance, 401(k) with company match, medical benefits from day one, and paid time off. Requires a valid driver’s license and one year of hands-on heavy-duty diesel experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Able to read and write legibly and perform basic math related to reports and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors and plan actions with partners.
