Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in North Haven, CT is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to service heavy-duty vehicles. The role features a third shift 6:00 pm–4:30 am, weekly pay, and a robust package of bonuses and benefits.

You will work with state-of-the-art diagnostics, receive a $29.45 hourly rate, sign-on bonuses totaling $2,500 across 30 and 90 days, quarterly bonuses up to $500, certification bonuses up to $700, tool allowance, and a path for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
