Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Grand Island, NE for a stable career with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. The role offers an 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule, Monday–Friday with weekends off, and opportunities for certification and quarterly bonuses.

You will work on heavy-duty vehicles using state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools in a safety-first environment. Ryder provides PTO from day 1, 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement among other perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, brakes and tires.

Responsabilités

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
