Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Grand Island, NE to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 am–4:30 pm), weekends off, and first-shift responsibilities with state-of-the-art diagnostics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and component inspections.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
