Job summary

Diamond Truck & Trailer is seeking an experienced Mobile Road Service Technician to provide on-site diagnostics and repairs for tractor-trailers. This role is ideal for anyone who enjoys independence and solving complex mechanical issues in the field.

You will respond to roadside service calls, identify diesel/electrical/pneumatic problems (ABS, ECM, emissions/EGR), perform brake and fuel system repairs, complete scheduled PMs at customer locations, and maintain logs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of technician experience; 1 year diesel/Class 8 required.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems and air brakes.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL and ASE a plus.
• Strong DOT compliance and safety standards knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to roadside service calls for tractor-trailers


• Identify mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues (ABS, ECM, emissions/EGR)


• Perform brake system service, electrical troubleshooting, fuel system repairs, and trailer bodywork (doors, landing gear, etc.)


• Conduct scheduled PMs at customer locations


• Maintain accurate logs of parts, labor, and service work


• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized service vehicle

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of technician experience preferred; 1 year of diesel/Class 8 experience required


• Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and air brakes


• Valid driver’s license with a clean record (CDL and ASE certifications are a plus)
