Job summary

Ryder in South Plainfield, New Jersey is seeking a Mid‑Level Diesel Technician to join our team. You’ll perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and diagnostics on heavy‑duty vehicles. Valid CDL‑A is preferred and a high school diploma with tech certs is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, brakes and tires.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Interacts with drivers to determine the nature of complaints and performs repairs.
• Complies with safety, DOT, MOT and company guidelines.
