Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience in the field preferred.
• Basic tools required for duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with drivers to determine nature of the complaint and plan repairs.
• Maintains compliance with safety, DOT, and company guidelines.
• Participates in preventive maintenance and service operations.
