Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in El Paso is seeking a skilled Technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet, helping to keep customer vehicles safe and on the road. You will use Penske’s tools to diagnose issues and complete repairs on a variety of OEM equipment.

No two days are the same — you’ll learn Penske’s maintenance processes, receive industry-certified training, and grow with a company that values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Understand and comply with DOT/OSHA safety policies and Penske safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Uses Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performs preventative maintenance and component lubrication; may include tire rotation and some electrical/cooling system tasks.
• Partners with manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Takes on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
