Bobcat of Houston is a full service Bobcat Dealership. We specialize in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We also offer parts and both mobile and shop service.

Bobcat of Baytown is seeking an experienced diesel mechanic/technician to work in our climate controlled shop. If you are a confident, experienced tech looking to take your career to the next level, apply today!

Monday-Friday Day shift hours

Up to $33/hr depending on experience plus monthly bonus structure.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality repair services on construction equipment in order to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner
• Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment
• Identifies problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel & electrical systems and executes solutions
• Participates in Service Training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
• Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs
• Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-year fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop.
• 2 year technical school graduate preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team.
• Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs.
• Heavy equipment and or agricultural experience is a plus.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
• Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl
• Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
