Job summary

Penske is hiring an entry level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III in Atlanta to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will learn Penske’s maintenance processes and gain hands-on experience with diagnostic tools while ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

You will be mentored by experienced supervisors and technicians, with opportunities for certification training and career growth within Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, use tools safely and work with a team.
• Commitment to DOT/OSHA safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and safely operate vehicles for customer use.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs, including diagnostics.
• Assist with tire rotation and component lubrication as needed.
• Learn Penske maintenance processes through training and coaching.
• Adhere to safety and attendance policies and DOT requirements.
