Penske is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III in Mount Juliet, TN. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a modern fleet, logging and diagnosing issues with Penske tools and technologies. Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills and compliance with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and lubrication and replacement of components, some electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
