Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician Lead in Dallas, TX. This safety-sensitive role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered vehicles, leading a team, and ensuring equipment safety and efficiency. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shift with non-exempt status.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years as a diesel technician, and strong diagnostic skills. CDL is a plus. Report to Fleet Manager with no direct reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair preferred.
• 5+ years of professional, progressive experience as a diesel technician.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization, logistics, math, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Experience with diagnostic computers.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and repairs on company vehicles and machines.
• Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and wiring schematics.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs have been completed.
• Lead and guide other technicians to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Repair transmissions and assemblies as needed and advise on repairs.
