Penske is hiring a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III - Entry Level at 4300 Petersburg Rd, Louisville, KY. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, learning Penske's maintenance processes and certification programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• Willingness to work the required schedule and location.
• Must understand and comply with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements.
• Background screening and drug test required by DOT and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers and reliability.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire replacement/rotation and lubrication.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and coaching.
• Work on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
