Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician at our Louisville location. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, ensuring vehicles stay safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to solve problems and use tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must comply with Penske safety and policy requirements including DOT/OSHA rules and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Using Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel vehicles
• Collaborating with manager to learn new skills via Penske training and coaching
• Taking on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
