Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Technician at our US-VA-Salem location. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske’s tools and training to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

The role offers strong training, job stability, and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include basic diagnostics, tire maintenance, and collaborating with supervisors to learn new skills; a valid license and DOT safety awareness

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical cert preferred.
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to use tools and solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools.
• Tire replacement/rotation and lubrication for gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and coaching.
• Collaborate with management on other tasks as assigned.
