Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a hands-on Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the fleet, ensuring vehicles stay safe and on the road. Day to day you'll use Penske tools and training to diagnose, service, and keep customers moving.

This second shift (2:30-11:00pm, Mon-Fri) includes a $2.50 shift premium; starting pay is $22.75 per hour with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits as part of a stable career with Penske.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to use Penske tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance and some electrical system and cooling system work on gas and diesel engines.
• Partnering with the manager to learn new skills via Penske’s technician training.
• Willingness to work other projects as assigned.
