Penske Truck Leasing is hiring a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III - Entry Level in Channahon, IL. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske tools and training to diagnose issues and keep vehicles on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Ability to use tools, solve problems, and communicate effectively with customers.
• Willingness to adhere to Penske safety and maintenance policies including DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, diagnose and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
