Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Technician in Wilkes-Barre, PA to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will log work, diagnose simple issues, and collaborate with experienced teams to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools safely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors, with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Partner with manager to learn new skills via Penske training and coaching.
• Handle other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
