Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III at our Portland, OR location. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs across a diverse fleet, learning Penske's maintenance processes and technologies under expert supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotations and lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and coaching with supervision.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
