Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Lexington is hiring a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will use Penske’s diagnostic tools and training to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

The role offers a Tuesday-Saturday 2:00pm–10:30pm schedule with a $2.00 per hour shift premium, room for growth, and robust benefits. Prior repair experience and CDL considerations are welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs such as replacing or rotating tires and lubricating components; conduct electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas/diesel engines.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Take on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
